I remember when you took that photo, Jani  That pic is great proof that your camera's much better than mine :-P
Great pic Yani - that's a scary looking little bugger in't it :scream: Amazing skills though - you never cease to amaze me :tiphat:
Some of my favs: My ex, Lara: ...look who decided to join me on the roof, while I was cleaning the gutters:
Emily: I remember it all clearly too. Mandi: Thanks! ^__^ Kevin: Very nice set of pics! In the first two I loved how the city looks quite unreal - no people, no cars. It's like a empty city where days just go by (great light in both of them). The silhoutte picture is a great piece of photography, just like last two. :-D I've yet to try to take similar pics like yours on the cityscape. I tried something similar play with light in the field shots (clouds made it possible), but they didn't work out as effectively.
Thanks! I'm digging everyone's photographs so far, especially the shots of anything old and dilapidated. Yani, that mansion could be used in a horror film. Freaky stuff...nice composition.
Alex's photo of a tree by Waylands Smithy, Paint Shopped a bit by me Big version: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/mandiapple/bwtreealex.jpg
Thanks Yani! I just liked the textures on the bark as well as those weird holes, it looked better IRL though of course
My God, that's absolutely gorgeous! Did you Photoshop that Yani? Your 'little somethings' are other people's 'best-ever pics' :notworth:
Thanks. :-D I gave it a make-over in PSP, messing with contrast, color, toning and added one effect on it. Here's the original (in color) and finished (without that effect I added later on). Black & white EDIT: Damn, I gotta find the original with colors first. :snigger: EDIT: There.
Nice effect. It gave a normally cheery photo an otherworldly, haunting tone to it. I like it. I'll have to contribute to the spooky tree collection when I find the right shot.
(click for an extreme close-up - there's a creepy shape on the right side of the pupil that looks like me)
Very nice light in those self portraits. I also like how you captured the smoke in the other one. I like the eye photo too. It's so sharp! I see the figure in the pupil too. Your cat is a cutie too. That paw pic is so good. Makes it look huge but fluffy. ^__^
Great pics Kevin - I especially like that eye pic, great detail and so sharp! May I ask what cameras you guys use, or would recommend? Alex and I are going to buy a new digital camera and we've sort of got our eye on the Fuji Finepix, but I'd love to know what you have
Thanks, guys. I'm currently using a Canon A80, which is a nice balance of affordability and quality. You should check out this site, which reviews and compares digital cameras - sample photographs are included for the higher-end cameras: http://www.dpreview.com
