What's weird about eyebrows, Alex? They keep the rain out of your eyes :snigger: I think underarm hair is much weirder, there seems to be zero purpose for that except reminding us we're all just walking gorillas :snigger:
Fake, painted eyebrows in the middle of the forehead are.. very weird. Well, the underarm area seem to have quite thin skin, so probably the hair is to keep it at least a little bit warmer (but yes.. developing a thicker skin there would have been a better idea, or so I think..)
See, they're useful in a myriad of ways :snigger: I do agree with gwyddon - painted on eyebrows have always seemed a bit bonkers to me, it's like: shave off perfectly good eyebrows (which you could pluck if they were a bit caterpillar-like), draw on slightly wonky pencil ones which wear off over the course of the day to leave you looking somewhat like Angie Bowie circa 1972 :snigger: I like my eyebrows, I pluck for no man :snigger: :snigger:
True, there are some simply delightful eyebrows, like Lam Ching-ying's monobrow (see Mr. Vampire if you're not familiar with it), and Brezhnev's amazing eyebrows :snigger:
Speaking of eyebrows, I hear that the more natural look for women is in these days...as opposed to the thin over-tweezed look... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the day that hairy legs come back into style...
 Me too, I hate shaving my legs As for natural eyebrows, maybe these guys should have gone for the pencil option :snigger:
Aye, but she still looks far scarier to me :snigger: Can you imagine it, though - whatever possessed Bowie to gather up Iggy Pop and try to kick their shared ten-tons-a-day cocaine addiction in bloody Berlin of all places :snigger: That's like me trying to quit smoking whilst taking on a job in a cigarette factory :snigger: As for the over-tweezed thing, I don't mind that myself, it's the folk who shave the lot off and then end up with two tiiiiny little lines drawn on with kohl about six inches off the top of their actual eyes 8O :snigger:
It's cool, it's all good... I wasn't trying to seem in favor of one style over the other, I'm really not...I was just commenting on something I'd seen on tv a little bit ago. I'm actually pretty fond of the thin, over-tweezed look too, it's what I've had myself for quite a few years now... What's "in" style can be vastly overrated sometimes methinks , I say go with whatever makes ya' happy and comfortable in your own skin...be it popular or not...:-D
What about natural blondes who don't paint their eyebrows? (see image) Incidentally I think though that people at work must be a bit puzzled wondering why I've got Marlene Dietrich eyebrows. Just wait till I do them Louise brooks style (image 2) - that's serious plucking Alex must be regretting what he started.
It's his own fault, tchah, sending out random thoughts like "Eyebrows are weird" into the world, he deserves everything he gets :snigger: You must be very brave plucking, I get the collywobbles even looking at a pair of tweezers  Natural blondes can always tint their eyebrows I guess if they want extra coverage I don't mind what Alison Goldfrapp does with her face, as long as she doesn't continue to wear those saggy leotards :shudder2:
