I can't even begin to tell you how much crap you scared out of me. I LOATHE BRAD PITT!

YEAH, maybe the brad pitt part was a bad idea, personally, i think it would be perfectly alright if they'd just keep tadanobu asano, he really should be the only kakihara ever. brad pitt tries too hard, i say.
now, with jake gyllenhall as ichi, that wouldn't be too bad, or maybe tobey macguire...

anywho, a remake, like in many situations would be totally unnecessary, so, joke or not, i hope it never happens, especially with eli roth involved.

Yargh! *headdesks* For a moment there, I actually thought we would someday get to see Jake Gyllenhaal killing people with a blade sticking out of his shoe and Brad Pitt cutting his own tongue off ... which, in retrospect, could be pretty entertaining.

I love Brad Pitt. I'd see it for him in that role alone.
  5. Rasen Nothing to Fear...

To be fair, if someone put a gun to my head and ordered me to cast only Hollywood actors for a remake of Ichi, I'd probably pick Brad Pitt for that role.
  6. Yani The Observer

Brad Pitt for Ichi would be great. If you've seen The Fight Club, you know why we think he'd be up to it. :)
  7. Mandi Apple The Acid Queen

I seriously hope Eli Roth never gets to read this thread, it might give him ideas :snigger: I actually think Brad Pitt would work pretty well - to give our phony story credence, it had to be someone we thought would do a fair job in the role, and like Yani said, Fight Club pretty much sealed his position in our fake casting call :snigger:

What about 12 Monkeys? I think he'd play Kakihara wonderfully. Except his name probably wouldn't be Kakihara.
  9. Rasen Nothing to Fear...

People seem to forget he was great in Seven Also.
  10. Yani The Observer

I'm not forgetting that, but I think from the characters he's played, the one in Fight Club is the closest to Kakihara somehow.
  11. I Heart Aya Guest

I didn't forget. He was also great in Snatch.
