Amazing: a funeral for a time lord. "The funeral music was swapped out in favor of the Dr. Who's theme song and mourners were greeted with the Doctor's words, 'I'm a time lord ... I'm not a human being. I walk in eternity.' Instead of Bible verses, the funeral consisted of quotes from classic Who scripts, including William Hartnell's famous speech from 'The Dalek Invasion Of Earth': 'One day, I will come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.' I'm usually quite stoic in regards to grief and mourning, but the whole concept and execution brought a tear to my eye. What good friends!

SERIOUSLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK, LIFE OR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/episode/1971-hated-gg-allin-and-the-murder-junkies/1 This is decidedly not a "fun" link, it's a brutal, rough, grindingly nasty documentary about the notorious GG Allin :shudder2: Fascinating, but incredibly scary and extreme :shudder2:
Hi everyone! Well, I know this is shameless self-promotion, but here we go: The most recent film that I worked on with the Edinburgh Movie Production Society, "Her Downfall", which I have discussed at some point on these forums, is now online! Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJC6rQx7ZPk Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCB4UG1OOjg&feature=related This, I feel, is far superior to out previous film from last year, which I also posted on these boards. We won 2 awards for this film at the society's annual award xeremony - best actress (the winner of which has just completed a film with James Nesbitt, which is very impressive IMHO), and best original soundtrack. I hope you guys enjoy this and any feedback is much appreciated! (PS: I advise using browser tabs to load both parts simultaneously, and be ready to switch straight to the next part as smoothly as possible - the uploader decided to splice our film at a most inconvenient time. )
Anyone ever worked in retail here? If so, then I'm sure you'll recognise these kinds of scenarios, but the responses are solid gold :snigger: http://notalwaysright.com/
http://jezebel.com/5304170/inside-the-disturbing-world-of-doll-reader/gallery/ The article itself is a fine jam, but the comments are where the solid gold is at: "Children are not perfect, or innocent, or any of the other insane descriptors certain adults like to bestow on them. Children are people, too - small, stupid people, but people just the same."
Awesome article Tyler, this stuff is really frightening... I have a friend who makes reborns, and let me tell you, up close and in person, they are even more terrifying than in pictures :shudder2: She has one stuck up in the window next to her front door, and it always makes me think either that there's a dead baby in her house, or one that's trying desperately to claw its way out to freedom She also has a mutant one which she calls a "fairy baby", which is life-size, has a face like a dog's bumhole, all wrinkly and squashed up, wild white straggly hair, and truly creepy fly-like wings growing out of its back :shudder2: This'll give you the kind of idea, although this one is slightly less creepy than hers: scary doll OMG, Linda Blair Fairy, complete with scary Midi music straight out of a funeral parlour :shudder2: Mmmm, Third Degree Burns Fairy! Terrifying, truly terrifying :hiding:
Annnnnd some more scary stuff, because I'm in that kind of mood: Ichor Falls, a brilliant collection of short horror stories - check this one out (if you don't mind never sleeping again, that is  ): http://www.ichorfalls.com/2009/03/15/candle-cove/ Waaaaaaaaah, I want my mummy  :faint2:
I read this post at the start of my day, but twelve hours later have to come back just to say that the Candle Cove story has been in my head all day. Totally creepy, and yet written in such an off hand, almost flippantly ironic way. Very well done, I'm hooked.
Yeah, I'm usually such a grown up about these things, but I tried to read that site at midnight and said, "G2g, I will come back to you in the daylight, friend."
